• Island Restaurant is looking for a bartender to join our team for Saturday nights, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts and cover when needed.

We are a busy, long-established Upper East Side restaurant with a loyal neighborhood following, a lively dining room, and a true “Cheers”-style atmosphere where guests and staff know each other well. We’re looking for someone personable, energetic, reliable, and genuinely hospitable who enjoys connecting with regulars and working as part of a tight-knit team. About The Position

• 7-seat bar with loyal regular clientele
• 100-seat restaurant with active service bar
• 3 servers sending drink tickets throughout service
• Bartenders receive their own bar guest tips plus a 7% tip-out from the dining room floor staff
• Servers pour their own wine — focus is cocktails, beer, spirits, and service bar execution
• Classic cocktails + approachable specialty cocktail list
• Stocking and prep work before and after shift required

• Bartending experience in a busy full-service restaurant required

Shift

• Saturday: 3:00pm – 11:30pm
• Additional flexibility and availability to cover shifts is a major plus.
