Established Midtown East restaurant seeking an experienced bartender to join the team. Classic American menu, beautiful room, loyal regulars. Strong candidates will be considered for Head Bartender.
Responsibilities
Execute classic and house cocktails with precision and consistency
Provide warm, professional service to bar guests and the dining room
Maintain inventory, par levels, and a pristine bar from open to close
Work efficiently with servers, barbacks, and the kitchen
Help shape cocktail menu, back-bar selection, and service standards
Requirements
3+ years bartending in NYC, preferably in a steakhouse, brasserie, hotel bar, or fine-dining restaurant
Deep knowledge of classic cocktails and the fundamentals (stir vs. shake, ice, glassware, dilution, citrus)
Strong working knowledge of brown spirits — American whiskey, Scotch, Irish — including the high end of the back bar
High-volume and service-bar experience
Polished, professional presence and the ability to handle any guest with grace
Energy, reliability, and a team-first attitude
Sharp memory and a personality that makes guests want to sit at your bar
