Position Summary

The delivery driver’s general functionality is to deliver baked goods to Cloudy Cafe’s wholesale or

catering clients. The driver will maintain a strong line of communication with the Lead Baker and

Owner to ensure that all delivery orders are correct and up to Cloudy Cafe standard. This individual

needs to have excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and an efficiency-minded demeanor.

Essential Job Functions and Key Responsibilities

• Gather wholesale delivery orders and ensure the correct items are assembled for each

order, communicate any missing or substandard items immediately

• Deliver orders in a timely manner while making sure that they arrive in perfect condition

• Manage delivery routes to perform duties in the most efficient way

• Monitor the delivery vehicle for any needed maintenance and communicate promptly

• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and any associated equipment.

• Keep a professional and kind demeanor when interacting with clients and coworkers

Requirements and Recommended Skills

• 1 + year of delivery driving experience

• Experience with driving a small delivery van

• Washington driver’s license

• Clean driver’s record (able to provide a recent driving abstract)

• Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions

• Food Handler’s Permit

Physical Demands

The Delivery Driver is expected to perform job functions with reasonable accommodations.

Physical demands include

• Remain sitting in a stationary position and driving for extended periods of time each day

• Able to move large orders up and down stairs

• Reaches, bends, squats and lifts (up to 50lbs); carry 20-50lbs over medium distances.

Compensation

The Delivery Driver rate is $25 an hour.
