Position Title: Dishwasher / Porter
Department: Culinary / Facilities Operations
Reports To: Chef / Kitchen Manager / Venue Manager
Position Summary
The Dishwasher / Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen and shared facility spaces. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily culinary operations by ensuring all dishware, kitchen equipment, and common areas are consistently clean, stocked, and operational. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Dishwashing & Kitchen Support
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of dish stations and storage areas.
- Empty trash and recycling throughout kitchen and service areas.
- Assist with breakdown and cleaning after events and service periods.
- Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health department sanitation and food safety standards.
Facility & Common Area Cleaning
- Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, restrooms, patios, dining areas, offices, and employee spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces throughout the facility.
- Restock paper products, soap dispensers, and cleaning supplies in common areas and restrooms.
- Monitor facility cleanliness throughout service and event operations.
- Maintain cleanliness around entrances, loading areas, and exterior walkways.
- Assist with venue reset and event preparation as directed.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Previous dishwashing, porter, janitorial, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion.

Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly position.
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
- Schedule may include nights, weekends, and special events.
