Executive Chef Opportunity at Heritage 8 West 40th street. Executive Chef – New York City We are seeking an experienced, driven, and creative Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of a high-volume New York City restaurant. This is an opportunity for a strong kitchen leader to take ownership of menu development, kitchen culture, food quality, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Responsibilities Lead all back-of-house culinary operations Manage and mentor kitchen staff Oversee food quality, consistency, and presentation Control food and labor costs while maintaining high standards Create seasonal menus and specials Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships Ensure sanitation, safety, and NYC health compliance Work closely with ownership and front-of-house management to drive profitability and guest satisfaction Qualifications 5+ years experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant Strong leadership and team-building skills Proven ability to manage food and labor budgets Experience with inventory systems and kitchen operations Creative approach to menu design and execution Ability to thrive under pressure in a busy NYC restaurant environment Culinary degree preferred but not required Compensation Competitive salary: $100,000 – $130,000 based on experience Performance bonus potential Paid vacation Health benefits Opportunity for long-term growth with an established restaurant group About the Role We are looking for a hands-on leader who can inspire a team, maintain exceptional standards, and help elevate the restaurant to the next level.
