5411 Empanadas is looking to add dependable, dedicated, outgoing self-starters to our Food Truck team! We want passionate people who share our commitment to great food and good times. 5411 Empanadas (named after the international dialing code for Buenos Aires, Argentina) started in 2009, when the three founders decided they wanted to bring a piece of their country to Chicago. We started small, and a good product and word-of-mouth made our dream grow from just deliveries to one of the most successful food trucks in the country. We sell delicious empanadas at a variety of different private events, food truck stands, street festivals, concerts, sports games, and more.

Responsibilities include

Driving the food truck safely and efficiently (don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything)

Greeting customers and educating them on menu offerings

Quickly taking/preparing/serving orders and processing transactions

Maintaining a clean and inviting truck

Setting up and closing down according to open/close procedures

Communicating stock levels and any problems quickly with manager

We have events (read: shifts available) every weekend during the spring, summer, and most of the fall, along with regular, consistent opportunities to sell to the public and various private events throughout the week all around the city. Our ideal candidates have flexible availability and weekend availability is a must. Artists, actors, and folks with FOH restaurant experience are especially encouraged to apply! Pay starts at $16/hr + tips which can be anywhere from $20 - $50/hr extra.
