Gm Wanted for New Country and Western Bar on the Bowery

GM WANTED FOR NEW COUNTRY AND WESTERN BAR WITH LIVE MUSIC OPENING THIS MONTH ON THE BOWERY must have minimum 2 years experience in bar management and minimum two years experience as a bartender experience in food service a plus, as we will be having a food element must have experience with POS systems and back ends of POS systems must be able to work late nights must be able to maintain a positive and friendly relationship with staff, but remain professional and keep personal distance. you are there as a supervisor to maintain a positive and professional environment, not be everyone’s best friend. must be able to work long hours (around 10 hr shifts) must be able to work late nights (4am close) Fridays and Saturdays must be able to work weekends and holidays (this is the hospitality business) experience with working in live music and/or venues a plus! a love and knowledge of country and american roots music a plus! Duties include but are not limited to scheduling bar staff ensuring liquor room, walk in, and storage areas are organized and maintained ensuring staff are following staff protocols and maintaining proper standards of service and professional behavior interfacing with guests and trouble shooting where need be with guest and customer service issues ensuring storage areas, office, and bar areas are organized overseeing comps, voids, and refunds attend monthly police meeting at the precinct for night life updating back end of POS with prices/menu items when needed, and trouble shooting with POS support when need be during shifts direct staff and barbacks to ensure they are staying on top of their duties, and the bar is running efficiently direct and supervise door and security staff on weekends to maintain line outside, proper capacity inside, and smooth door service and ID checks have eyes on the bar and bar guests to identify and de-escalate potential issues before they become problematic work side by side with partners to execute vision work with Assistant Manager to ensure they are staying on top of their duties on your days off maintain a warm and hospitable environment for bar staff and guests 83+ a year BOE 4-5 day/nights a week
