Overview
The Dishwasher is an essential part of Gogobop’s daily operations, responsible for keeping a steady flow of clean dishes, utensils, and equipment available to the team throughout every shift. This role ensures that the kitchen runs smoothly and that food safety and sanitation standards are upheld at all times.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in doing the unglamorous work well. The ideal candidate will:
– Show up on time and ready to work with a positive, team-first attitude
– Take ownership of the dish pit without needing constant direction
– Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the shift
– Work efficiently and calmly under the physical demands of the role
– Approach every task with pride and a commitment to Gogobop’s standards
Expectations
Own the Dish Pit
– Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment throughout the shift
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dish area at all times
– Ensure a steady flow of clean dishes and supplies are available to the kitchen and front of house team
– Operate the dishwasher and all dish equipment correctly and safely
– Empty trash, replace liners, and maintain cleanliness of surrounding areas throughout the shift
– Report any equipment issues or supply shortages to the Shift Leader promptly
Kitchen Support & Light Prep
– Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks as directed by leadership
– Support general cleaning duties in the kitchen and surrounding areas as needed
Champion the Culture
– Model and reinforce Gogobop’s S.E.R.V.E. values on every shift
– Bring a positive, team-first attitude to every area of the restaurant
– Support teammates across all departments and contribute to a strong team environment
Ensure Compliance & Responsibility
– Follow all food safety and workplace safety standards throughout the shift
– Adhere to California labor law requirements, including meal and rest breaks
– Maintain accurate timekeeping and report any concerns to the Shift Leader
Required Qualifications
– Must be at least 18 years of age
– Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
– Reliable and punctual
– Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
– Ability to stand, move, and be on your feet for extended periods of time
– Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
– Ability to learn and uphold food safety and sanitation standards
– Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant
