Overview

The Grill Cook is at the heart of Gogobop’s kitchen, responsible for executing the grill with the speed, precision, and consistency that our guests expect. This role demands someone who thrives under pressure, takes ownership of their station, and understands that quality at the grill directly impacts every bowl we serve.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, works with urgency and intentionality, and holds themselves to a high standard on every shift. The ideal candidate will:

– Show up on time and ready to perform with a positive, team-first attitude

– Take full ownership of the grill station without needing constant direction

– Execute with speed and precision during peak and off-peak periods

– Maintain a clean, organized station throughout the entire shift

– Approach every task with pride and a commitment to Gogobop’s standards

Expectations

Grill Station Operations

– Operate the grill station with speed, precision, and consistency throughout the shift

– Cook all proteins and grill items to Gogobop’s approved temperature and quality standards on every order

– Maintain proper grill temperatures and adjust as needed throughout the shift

– Ensure all grilled items are prepared and delivered to the line accurately and on time

– Monitor product levels at the grill station and communicate any shortages to the Shift Leader promptly

– Clean and maintain the grill station before, during, and after service

Food Preparation

– Complete all assigned prep tasks before and during service to ensure a smooth and efficient shift

– Prepare all food items according to Gogobop’s approved recipes, portion standards, and quality guidelines

– Maintain proper labeling and dating of all prepped items in accordance with food safety standards

– Organize and maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized prep area at all times

Food Safety & Kitchen Standards

– Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures at all times, including proper handwashing, glove use, and temperature monitoring

– Ensure all food is stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with California food safety regulations

– Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the entire shift

– Report any food safety concerns or equipment issues to the Shift Leader immediately

Champion the Culture

– Model and reinforce Gogobop’s S.E.R.V.E. values on every shift

– Bring a positive, team-first attitude to the kitchen on every shift

– Support teammates across all departments and contribute to a strong team environment

Ensure Compliance & Responsibility

– Follow all food safety and workplace safety standards throughout the shift

– Adhere to California labor law requirements, including meal and rest breaks

– Maintain accurate timekeeping and report any concerns to the Shift Leader

Required Qualifications

– Must be at least 18 years of age

– Prior kitchen or grill experience preferred

– Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment

– Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency

– Reliable and punctual

– Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

– Ability to stand for extended periods of time throughout the entire shift

– Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment

– Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

– Must obtain or already hold a valid Food Handler’s Card

– Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant
