Head Sushi Chef

We are looking for an experienced Head Sushi Chef for a beloved Japanese Restaurant in Long Beach!

If you are a highly motivated, energetic candidate and have passion for traditional Japanese cooking, this is your opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and experience.

We offer compatible Hourly rate or Salary depending on experience.

Requirements

• 3-5+years in a senior or head sushi Chef role, ideally in a high volume, high quality setting

• Technical Skills and in depth knowledge of fish cutting, sourcing, and traditional Japanese cooking

• Strong leadership and communication skills, scheduling, customer service skills

• Ability to handle high pressure situations with professionalism

Key Performance Indicators

• Maintain a strong professional demeanor in all situations and be a TEAM PLAYER

• Manage food and labor cost

• Oversee sushi chefs, training, fish ordering

• Great customer service

• Communicate well with General Manager FOH and BOH staff
