[About the Restaurant]
Good To Eat Taiwanese cuisine, started as a popup and had a lot of followers, after transforming to a restaurant (now 2 years) , we are listed as essential restaurant in east bay, on New York Time food critic column with full page, and selected as Bay area top 50 restaurant , we are a chef-driven, craft food small batch-made small plates restaurants and sake and beer bar.
[Hiring Servers] : Full Time. 4 days a week
Wed-sat 4:00~10:15 Or 10:30

[Hiring position: FOH team server]
We do full table service here and we all help each other in a really seamless way.
As part of our FOH team as server, your responsibility including:
(1) Greet customers , introduce who we are and set expectations of this unique place
(2) able to introduce restaurant to set expectation for customers, able to describe flavors, and make recommendations of how to order, and beverage pairing too (a lot of things you need to memorize)
(3) run food to the table and introduce the food with details. we have daily rotate menu, it's different everyday
(4) Passionate about hospitality, enjoy taking care of people.
(5) able to introduce beverage option, present beverage properly and recommend for food paring
(Prior experience introducing seasonal menu, work with small plates restaurants, or wine bar where you get to recommend wine for customers to have a good time -- are all big plus for you to be successful on this position)
(6) You need to work quick, and very good at multi-tasking. we are very fast-paced :)
(7) Able to do full cycle of table service - table setup, asking for more order, bussing table ...etc
(8) understand sense of urgency.
This position will require experience in full-service restaurant before. if you have been barista or bar position or drink fulfillment position before it will be a plus .
**Compensation
- paid per shift or per hour . this position share tips . we are a pool tips house. BOH and FOH work tightly together.
- Hourly rate / or per shift rate will based on your experiences
- Staff meal, staff discount
- After tips the pay range from $28~$34

***Qualifications ****
Professional experience required - 1 year at least .

please note this is NOT an entry level position. Table service experience with a busy indie restaurant is ideal.
if not, and if you really like what we do and want to become one of us -- please anticipate you will need to learn a lot the basic service know-hows and please share why you would like to do table service.
will be ideal if you aware of the differences of indie restaurant , chef-driven type of the place, versus corporate or chain store service.

- have capability to run table service
- have experience fulfill drinks , not afraid making food.
- have experience of Taking orders, introduce food, able to share knowledge (we will train you) of the food and love to chat with customers on how we make the food and our effort to make it so delicious, just like when you share the food you cook for your guests
- we are daily menu change type of the establishment. have experienced to introduce intentionally made food and seasonal offering is a plus !
- no need to understand Taiwanese cuisine, but basic understand on Asian cuisine and Japanese cuisine will be a plus
- We value the ability of multi-tasking skill, ability of work fast, and having sense of urgency, and the proactive sense to catch customers' dining needs and provide the right hospitality: table service experienced is required.
- We thrive fast paced and professional working vibe
- you need to know how to take order, make suggestions based on the small plates type of the menu, how to assist customers with drinks, and buss table/turn table as needed
