Host / Back Waiter / Server Support

La Marcha Tapas Bar in Berkeley is hiring a reliable, energetic Host / Back Waiter / Server Support team member. This is a great role for someone who enjoys hospitality, likes staying busy, and is comfortable jumping into different parts of service as needed.

We are looking for someone who can help support the floor, greet guests, keep the dining room running smoothly, and bring a positive attitude to every shift.

Available Shifts

Evening Schedule

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday evenings 3:30 - 10:30

• Friday and Saturday: general floor support, back waiter, bussing, running food, helping servers, resetting tables, and keeping service moving

• Sunday and Monday: more host-focused, greeting guests, managing the door, helping with reservations, seating guests, and supporting the dining room as needed

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and help create a welcoming first impression

• Seat guests and help manage the flow of the dining room

• Bus and reset tables quickly and cleanly

• Run food and drinks when needed

• Support servers during busy service

• Polish glassware and silverware

• Restock stations and keep service areas organized

• Help maintain a clean, professional dining room

• Communicate well with servers, managers, and kitchen staff

• Jump in where needed to support the team

Restaurant experience is preferred, but we are open to training the right person if they have the right attitude and work ethic.

La Marcha Tapas Bar is a busy Spanish tapas restaurant in Berkeley known for paella, tapas, Spanish wines, and warm hospitality. We are a team-oriented restaurant and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and be part of a strong service team.

Compensation

Hourly wage plus tips. (Average $140 per night in tips)
