Job Title: Jr. Sushi Chef
Job Summary
The Jr. Sushi Chef is responsible for producing food primarily for the take-out area, performing some prep work, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the work area. This role supports the culinary team in delivering high-quality sushi and maintaining efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Produce food items primarily for the take-out area according to Bondi Sushi's recipes and quality standards.
Rolling maki, prepping boxes, portioning sauces
Perform prep work, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed.
Communicate with Sushi/Hot line Chefs regarding food quality and availability.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food hygiene, sanitation, and waste management.
Assist with opening and closing duties of the kitchen area.
Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Be ready and willing to assist other members of the team as needed.

Qualifications
Ability to maintain a productive and welcoming work environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members.
Understanding of all common food allergies.
Ability to work in a high-paced, demanding kitchen environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and local Department of Health standards.
Food Handler's Certification or the ability to obtain one in accordance with federal, state, or local regulations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Familiarity with Japanese (Sushi) cuisine is preferred.
