Job Summary

Line Cooks are responsible for preparing and cooking food items to the restaurant’s standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work well under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Line Cooks play a critical role in ensuring that each guest receives a timely and delicious meal.

Job Responsibilities

Your role as a Line Cook will include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities;

Prepare and cook menu items accurately, efficiently, and consistently to recipe and presentation standards.

Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before, during, and after service.

Follow portion and presentation standards for all dishes.

Properly label, store, and rotate food to ensure freshness and prevent waste.

Work collaboratively with fellow line cooks, prep cooks, expo, and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.

Communicate effectively with the kitchen teams to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours.

If practical, assist other stations or team members when needed.

Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation at all times.

Follow proper cleaning procedures for kitchen equipment and tools.

Assist with daily and deep cleaning tasks, including end-of-shift breakdown and restocking.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and report and malfunctions immediately.

Adhere to allergy and dietary restriction guidelines when preparing food.
