📍 Björk Cafe & Bistro at Scandinavia House – Midtown Manhattan 🕒 Full-Time or Part-Time Available 📅 Open Availability Required, Including Weekends 🌙 No Late Nights NYC Food Protection Certificate required to be considered for this position. Björk Cafe & Bistro is a Scandinavian-inspired café and restaurant located inside Scandinavia House in Midtown Manhattan. We focus on fresh, high-quality Nordic-inspired food in a fast-paced but supportive kitchen environment. We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Prep / Line Cook to join our team. Responsibilities Prep vegetables, meats, seafood, poultry, soups, sauces, and other menu components Work service for sandwiches, salads, soups, and brunch/lunch dishes Assist with catering prep for on-site and off-site events Receive deliveries, organize inventory, and rotate products properly Follow recipes, prep lists, and kitchen standards consistently Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout shifts Work efficiently as part of a team during busy service periods What We’re Looking For At least 1 year of kitchen experience preferred NYC Food Handlers / Food Protection Certificate Weekend availability is required Strong work ethic and sense of urgency Ability to stay organized and work cleanly Positive attitude and willingness to learn Comfortable working in a team-oriented kitchen This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a professional kitchen while maintaining a healthy work-life balance with no late-night shifts.
