Line Cook - Job Description FULL TIME

Job Summary

The Line Cook at Bondi Sushi is responsible for preparing high-quality food items, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced environment. This role requires experience with grill, fryer, and oven cooking, as well as strong prep skills to support the culinary team in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food items according to Bondi Sushi's recipes and quality standards, utilizing grill, fryer, and oven equipment.

Execute food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed.

Monitor inventory and communicate any low stock or missing items to the kitchen management.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food hygiene, sanitation, and waste management.

Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming products for quality control.

Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant setting, with demonstrated experience in grill, fryer, and oven operations.

Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and proper portioning practices.

Ability to work in a high-paced, demanding kitchen environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.

Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and local Department of Health standards.

Food Handler's Certification or the ability to obtain one in accordance with federal, state, or local regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members.

Ability to read, speak, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Familiarity with Japanese cuisine is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00-$23.00 per hour
