Grey Squirrel Manor is a cafe and market on the Windsor Town Green that serves great coffee and tea. It is intended to be a one stop shop for high quality local provisions, including baked goods, and soon an expanded menu of grab and go items, fun snacks, pantry staples like jam, olive oil, cheese, and honey, and micro seasonal products. We also carry an assortment of high quality retail products.

We opened our first location and our flagship store in Windsor, California in March of this year. We’ve hired a great team of hardworking and talented people who want to create something really special that’s never been done before in the cafe world, blending hospitality, quality products, local artistry, intention, media and storytelling. Our customers are multi-generational and our space is welcoming to all.

Why are we called Grey Squirrel Manor? The legend goes that Windsor is named after Windsor, England, but most people don’t know why. There are oak trees in both places. The oak trees have magic portals and the squirrels have long been teleporting from Windsor to Windsor, living in both places as if it were one place. They have a whole secret life that humans don't know about, until now. Grey Squirrel Manor is a glimpse into their magical and hidden world.

What We're Looking For in Our Kitchen Lead (Prep + Sandwiches)

At Grey Squirrel Manor, we believe exceptional food starts with exceptional people. We're seeking a Kitchen Lead who will focus on food prep and sandwich making, and who shares our passion for hospitality-driven experiences and culinary excellence. If you have experience setting up and organizing a kitchen, prepping cafe style food, you are obsessed with the customer experience, and you enjoy a positive and fun working environment, then we’d love to hear from you. We are offering $23 an hour for this position, which is tip pool eligible and includes opportunities for growth.
