Counter Staff, Receptionist, and Event Promotion Roles, Oakland

The Church of Ambrosia is hiring full-time and part-time staff at our Oakland location. We are a nondenominational, interfaith religious organization dedicated to the respectful and safe use of entheogenic plants, with a focus on Cannabis, Magic Mushrooms, and DMT. We are looking for people who can work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Weekend night shifts run 3 PM to 10 PM.

The Roles

Counter Staff and Receptionists. You are the first face members see. The work includes greeting members, processing transactions, answering questions, and keeping daily operations running smoothly.

Event Promotion Staff. You represent the Church at community events. The work includes distributing materials, talking with the public about who we are, and building awareness of our mission and services.

What We Look For

21 or older Comfortable working with the public Customer service experience Cash and card handling experience Clear communication, written and spoken Works well on a team Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays No cannabis allergies

Helpful but Not Required

Spanish or another second language MS Office skills Social services or community work background Health, safety, or security training Strong organization and ability to multitask

Physical Requirements

Able to bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds Able to stand for up to four hours at a time

Driving (Event Promotion role only)

Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current insurance

Compensation

20-25/h
