Slice of Austin - Looking for Pizza Cook

Slice of Austin is local family owned pizzeria in Austin, TX. Two brothers opened the restaurant in February, 2024 and now need to hire an experienced Pizza Cook. Our restaurant is a takeout and delivery only restaurant located between Hudson Bend and Apache Shores near the Lake Travis Dam. The restaurant is a stand alone building with a drive through window on Ranch Road 620.

Our first location Slice of Vegas is located inside the Mandalay Bay Shoppes in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have been operating that restaurant for 12 years but understand that a 20,000 square foot restaurant doesn't work everywhere. That is why we decided to bring the same menu, superior ingredients and homemade recipes for a fast casual pizzeria concept.

Overview

We are seeking Part Time & Full Time skilled and experienced Pizza Cooks to join our team. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious pizzas in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties

• Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards

• Ensure that all ingredients are properly portioned and prepared

• Monitor oven temperatures and cooking times to ensure pizzas are cooked to perfection

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, grating cheese, and preparing dough

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service

• Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed

Skills

• Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a pizza kitchen or similar setting, is preferred

• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary principles

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils used in pizza preparation

• Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
