Line Cook (Full-Time & Part-Time)
We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented, and high-energy Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. This position focuses on executing a fast-paced comfort food menu featuring high-volume appetizers, dynamic entree salads, and house-made soups.
The position is very independent and the expectations is that the individual will be able to plan their prep day and service with autonomy.
Both full-time and part-time positions are available with flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
Station Execution: Master and manage the Fry and Pantry/Salad stations. Efficiently drop, drain, and season hot appetizers (fries, tots, wings, tenders) and build crisp, beautifully arranged salads to exact specs.
Prep Work & Batch Cooking: Assist with daily prep, including portioning proteins, mixing house-made dressings, assembling quesadillas, and preparing our scratch-made beef chili.
Ticket Speed & Timing: Maintain quick ticket times and coordinate with team members to ensure hot food and cold items hit the pass at the exact same time.
Consistency & Quality Control: Ensure every dish meets our standards for portion size, temperature, and presentation.
Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a spotless, organized workspace throughout the shift. Adhere to all food safety, labeling, rotation (FIFO), and sanitation guidelines.
Station Reset: Execute opening and closing checklists, including filtering fryers, restocking line coolers, and sanitizing prep tables.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a high-volume, fast-casual, or pub-style kitchen is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient with deep fryers, flat-tops/griddles (for quesadillas and hot proteins), and basic knife work for salad prep.
Speed & Stamina: Ability to stay focused, organized, and calm under pressure during peak lunch and dinner rushes. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills. We operate as a tight-knit unit; a positive attitude is a must.
Certifications: Valid Food Handler’s Card (or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire).
Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and night shifts.
