Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pizza Maker to join our catering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in crafting high-quality, consistent pizzas for events. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and executing pizza service on-site, often in a mobile or event-based kitchen setup. This position requires travel to various event venues, sometimes outside the immediate area.
Key Responsibilities
Travel to event venues and arrive on time, prepared and in proper uniform
Prepare and cook pizzas during live catering events in a timely and efficient manner
Stretch dough, build pizzas, and manage ovens (wood-fired or standard, depending on setup)
Assist with food prep, including sauces, toppings, and dough preparation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas
Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portioning
Work closely with the culinary and event teams to execute smooth service
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment as needed
Qualifications
Previous pizza-making experience is highly preferred (restaurant or catering experience a strong plus)
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying event conditions (indoor/outdoor)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various event locations required
Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Compensation
$20-$25 per hour + tips
Flexible scheduling with event-based shifts
Additional Opportunities
Prep shifts are available for additional hours, including dough production, ingredient prep, and kitchen support outside of events
Salary range
$20 - $30 per hour
