Edelweiss Tavern is looking for a new Security Doorman. Located in the Avondale Neighborhood of Chicago.
- Part-time: Fridays and Saturdays, occasional Sundays (9pm-2am).
The Security Doorman is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment at the entrance of the bar. This role involves checking IDs, monitoring guest behavior, and ensuring all patrons follow house rules. Key Responsibilities
- Check IDs to verify legal drinking age
- Monitor entry and exit of guests
- Maintain order at the door
- Refuse entry to intoxicated or disruptive individuals
- Assist staff in handling conflicts or disturbances
- Communicate clearly with bartenders and management
Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm and handle stressful situations
- Prior security or customer service experience preferred
